The Chapter of Friendship & Care No. 8802 |
| Companions, your attention is drawn to the next Convocation of The Chapter of Friendship and Care which is to
be held in the main Temple at Sindlesham on Tuesday, 21st February 2012 at 5.00pm |
| On that day, Bro Revd David Leslie Holbrow Webster will be Exalted into the Supreme Order of the Holy Royal Arch.
Bro Revd Webster is a member of The Lodge of Friendship and Care. He is a Clerk in Holy Orders and is the Chaplain at Lord
Harris Court. |
| The Convocation will be extra special because it will be attended by The Most Excellent Third Grand Principal,
David Kenneth Williamson who has very kindly agreed to take part in the Ceremony. |
| This will be a unique occasion for all Berkshire Companions to see and hear the Third Grand Principal who will
be making his first visit to the Province. He is also, of course, the Assistant Grand Master. |

Berkshire Visiting Companions |
| The ME Grand Superintendent wishes to bring together a team of Companions from throughout the Province who are willing
to visit Chapters in order to support them at their Convocations and when asked, to assist with the ceremonies. They will,
of course, pay for their meal if they stay (as is hoped) to the Festive Board. |
| This initiative is being organized by E Comp Mike Warner, Provincial Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies. He will draw
up a list of those Companions who are able to spare the time to take part in these visits and he will advise Companions and
give details, of which Chapters to visit. It is hoped to build up as large a team as possible (i.e. as many as 100 Companions
from all levels of the Province) so that those Companions are not asked to make too many visits during the year. It
is also felt that this will be an ideal opportunity for members of the Team to visit Centres and Chapters they have not been to
and to widen their circle of friends within the Royal Arch. |
| Where assistance with a ceremony is required, the Scribe E of the Chapter must give sufficient notice to Mike Warner as
to when and what assistance is needed and with what ritual, so that he can call on those members of the Team who express a
wish to take part in ceremonies. |
| It is intended that this initiative will gradually enable Chapters to stand on their own feet. In order to do this,
they need to continue to encourage existing members to attend and must also actively seek out Master Masons to join
their Chapters. |
| The Grand Superintendent is sure that this initiative will serve to strengthen our Chapters and the Royal Arch Province
and will be most grateful for the support of Companions. |
