Berkshire Chapters Ladies' Supper 2010
The Annual Berkshire Chapters Ladies’ Supper was held in the Flavell Suite of Sindlesham Court, Sindlesham on Friday, 26th February 2010. The event was attended by the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, E Comp Ken Benford and his wife Patricia, supported by two hundred and fifty Companions, Ladies and other Guests, including the Grand Superintendent of Hertfordshire, E Comp John Illot and his wife Glenys. Those attending enjoyed a four course meal, during which the diners were entertained by John Clarke on the piano.
After a short intermission, the assembled company settled down to enjoy the swing music of the “Gentle Jazz” band.

This was a great success and the tapping of toes on the floor could be clearly heard. During a short intermission while the Band enjoyed some well-earned refreshment, the Grand Superintendent presented a very small birthday cake to Henrietta Avery. On their return, the Band and everyone present serenaded Henrietta by sing “Happy Birthday”.
The evening was organised by E Comps Mike Warner and Jem Whitmore, the two Provincial Assistant Grand Directors of Ceremonies, shown here with Helen Warner and Sara East, Jem’s married daughter.

Towards the end of the evening a bouquet of flowers was presented to Patricia Benford by Mike Warner and a number of Companions were thanked for their contribution.

In summary, it was a great evening thoroughly enjoyed by all.
